Model Train Layout Pictures – Angels Gate Hi-Railers, San Pedro, California

Matt Jackson is a member of the Angels Gate Hi-Railers in San Pedro, California and has kindly sent in some pictures of their club layout.

Several members and Matt have been working on this layout for the past several years in an old barracks building at Angels Gate Park in San Pedro (Angels Gate Hi-Railers.)

It’s Hi-Rail (an O scale environment for 3-rail trains), so even though the trains themselves may not be full O scale, or may be in fantasy livery, the environment/scenery are modeled with detailing matching O scale 2-rail layouts.

The trains in the photos are full O scale sized, designed to run on 3-rail track.

The layout is located in Building #848, Angels Gate Park (former upper reservation of Fort MacArthur Military Base), 3601 S. Gaffey Street, San Pedro, California.

The club is open on Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm – 9:00pm and most Saturday’s from 10:00am – 4:00pm. Visitors are welcome any time the door is open, even on non-meeting days. You can contact Matt at mcjackson @ earthlink.net

Enjoy the photos…

Hi Dan… I’m sure you’ve been deluged with photos of a lot of layouts by now. But I would very much appreciate being notified when ( and if) my pictures of my N gauge layout will be used? Thanks so much.
I’m always glad to add my “two cents worth” if asked?

    Happy days,

I loved the scene that was poised at the edge of a cliff. Ya gotta love the ‘cliff hanger’ over to the left.
